It’s that time again, MUGSHOT MONDAY, the day that beauty violators are brought to justice. This weeks case involves a California gal named Karen. Karen loves makeup, and was willing to try just about anything. However, her main concerns are redness and the lack of radiance to her skin. Here’s what we did to hook Karen up:

Eyebrows were bleached to lift color so that I could subtly change their shape
Skin was prepped with Shu Uemura base control in green to counteract redness
Liquid foundation was mixed with highlighter to create a dewy finish
Peachy blush with shimmer was used on the apples of the cheeks
Golden bronzer was used near hairline
Pink based lip color and gloss were used on lips
I love dewy skin!!
Karen got a cute hair cut from Carrie Fernow (320)492-2329 and left glowing! This case is closed!!
I’ve never considered myself one of the cool kids. I’m the chick that’s accident prone. I’ll fall UP or DOWN the stairs!!! When I put forth an effort to be cool, I fail miserably . I tried to be cool one time in France, I was flirting with a gorgeous guy that I met in a housewares store. As I turned to say goodbye, I tripped over a chair!!! Not cool at all!!! I’d really like to be cool!! I want to be Sean Puffy Combs cool!!! Puffy’s so cool, he wears sunglasses at night!!! Hahaha!! If I wore sunglasses at night I’d definitely french kiss the concrete… Recently, I found it necessary to pop on a pair of sunglasses after the sun had set, check out the video below to see if I’m even coming close to cool….

There’s someone at the gig that you’d like to make feel the pain!!! HAHAHA!!! Well that was NOT the case when I worked with Reshma Shetty from the show Royal Pains. Working with Reshma was painless!!! She’s the kinda girl that you want to hang out with!!! Check out Reshma on the season finale of Royal Pains tonite at 10 on USA.

As a kid, I would sit in front of the TV and nerd out, watching Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. That show made me want to become one with nature… Imagine me as a feral child roaming the jungle like Tarzan, raised by wolves, swinging from vines —okay you’re right, that’s pretty far fetched for a girl that’s mildly afraid of dogs!! I wouldn’t last a second in the jungle!! But for some reason I have this dying desire to go on safari. The closest that I’ve gotten so far was a recent work trip to California’s wine country. We visited Safariwest which is a wildlife preserve on over 400 acres with hundreds of exotic animals in a natural habitat. Here are the pictures from that trip:
We’ve already established that I would’ve failed as a feral child! The lack of plumbing and air conditioning in the jungle would have definitely been a deal breaker for me. So to satisfy my inner jungle girl I put a fresh zebra striped Konad on my nails. ROOOOaaaaarrr.

I’M ON DRUGS
For the past month, I’ve been hitting the Latisse pretty hard. Latisse is a prescription drug used to make your lashes grow. My goal is to reach Betty Boopdom (check out July 14th post for a visual!). It took a few weeks, but I feel like the little buggers have grown a bit!!
Lately, I’ve noticed a few changes in my eyes, so I called my doctor to make sure everything was alright. Here’s our conversation:

In fact, she admitted wearing the same shade of lipstick for the last ten years. Obviously, It’s time to shake up Kelly’s makeup routine!!!

WILD KINGDOM
As a kid, I would sit in front of the TV and nerd out, watching Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.
