Hey, Hey, It’s MUGSHOT MONDAY, the day that beauty violators are brought to justice. Today’s case was a challenge. I happened to be working with Nico Malvaldi, a photographer who adores film noir. Nico wanted me to do a french femme fatale look on the model that we were working with. I realized early on that she didn’t have the typical bone structure that I’ve always associated with the look. Ohhhhh I love a challenge.
Here’s the rap sheet:
I started with a cream foundation to even out all skin discoloration
the lip line was extended with MAC magenta lip liner
hot pink lipstick was then applied on top of the liner

You have no idea how exciting it was for me to have the chance to do a makeover on TV!! The experience was pretty freakin’ fantastic!!! I’d spent the last three years doing makeup behind the scenes at the Rachael Ray show, but had never had the opportunity to work my magic on camera!!! Lucky for me, the extremely awesome folks over at USA’s show Character Fantasy gave me a shot!!!
Here are 3 things that I learned about being on the tellie!!!
1. A little clinical strength antiperspirant never hurt nobody!! Out of nowhere, I started sweating like a dieter in a donut shop (thanks for that one David). Had I not double-downed on the deodorant, it would’ve been pit stain city!!!!
2. Spanx are your friend!! A great look starts with a good foundation garment. Just like a great makeup look starts with a great foundation. Its all relative!!!
3. Invest in the dress!! Most of my stylist friends usually say invest in shoes and hanbags, because those items can make a cheap outfit look expensive. Well in TV land, your feet may not show, and more than likely, you wont have your handbag on your shoulder!! I broke the bank for these lovelies, but they never saw any air time!!!

Brows were lightened with facial bleach to soften the expression

A while back I wore a great pair of high waist jeans to work. I love high waist jeans!! They don’t show crack, and they accentuate a curvy figure!! I think they’re super sexy!! On my lunch break, I hop on facebook and see that one of the male crew members on set has posted how much he hates high waist jeans!! Yes Leigh, you are on blast!!! I confront Leigh about his status update, we laugh like hyenas, and he DENIES that my jeans spurred the remark!! Leigh-de-poooh, did your nose grow? Recently, a similar “situation” occurred, take a look at the video below to see what was posted on facebook this time!!

I announced the winner to The CUPID CAN KISS IT Valentine’s contest, in which one lucky reader won a date with me and Gregg Giannillo to have her hair and makeup done before she hit the town with her actual V-Day date!! In other news!! It was New York Fashion Week and I got to work on Project Runway winner Irina Shabayeva’s show. Amazing clothes!!! The collection was about the freedom of flight. A lot of the pieces had hand painted feathers. Gorgeous!!! I would love to own this collection. Here are a few shots of some of the models that I worked on at the show:
I’ve always loved wearing makeup!!! As a sixth grade diva (is there such a thing?) I would wear the hottest red lipstick on a daily basis. I wore a red lip for about three years straight!! Once I reached high school, red lipstick and I broke up!!! We went our separate ways and I didn’t even think about him for years!!! Well, he’s been creeping back into my life lately!! Okay, I’ll admit it, red lipstick and I are hot and heavy again!!! Check out our love affair on the video below!!!

Remember in grammar school when you learned that sometimes the letter “Y” is silent? Yes, I’m nerding out, but just go with me… Believe it or not, even the “Y” chromosome is forced to zip it once in a while!!! With that in mind, I recently tackled my biggest challenge yet— I made the “Y” chromosome shut his trap!!! Check out the gender bending makeover that you’ve got to see to believe!!!!

I tried to be cool one time in France, I was flirting with a gorgeous guy that I met in a housewares store. As I turned to say goodbye, I tripped over a chair!!! Not cool at all!!! I’d really like to be cool!! I want to be Sean Puffy Combs cool!!! Puffy’s so cool, he wears sunglasses at night!!! Hahaha!! If I wore sunglasses at night I’d definitely french kiss the concrete… Recently, I found it necessary to pop on a pair of sunglasses after the sun had set, check out the video below to see if I’m even coming close to cool….

HOT LIPS
I’ve always loved wearing makeup!!! As a sixth grade diva (is there such a thing?) I would wear the hottest red lipstick on a daily basis. I wore a red lip for about three years straight!! Once I reached high school, red lipstick and I broke up!!! We went our separate ways and I didn’t even think about him for years!!! Well, he’s been creeping back into my life lately!!
