Relax boys, I’m not a modern day Lorena Bobbit!!! Recently, a friend of mine put a set of clippers in my hands, and let me have my way with him!! Hey, Hey, It’s MUGSHOT MONDAY, the day that beauty violators are brought to justice. Today’s case was a challenge. I happened to be working with Nico Malvaldi, a photographer who adores film noir. Nico wanted me to do a french femme fatale look on the model that we were working with. I realized early on that she didn’t have the typical bone structure that I’ve always associated with the look. Ohhhhh I love a challenge.

I started with a cream foundation to even out all skin discoloration
the lip line was extended with MAC magenta lip liner
hot pink lipstick was then applied on top of the liner

With this new gig, Sabrina finds herself on several red carpets having her photo snapped. Sabrina needed a look that was perfect for the paparazzi!

Sometimes as a freelance makeup artist, I get called to do a job that sounds bananas!! The other day I got one of those calls from Penthouse (the men’s magazine)!!! GAsssssppppp!!!!
You want me to put makeup where???!!!! Hahahaha!!!
All jokes aside, the job that I did for the magazine was PG-13. I didn’t have to put makeup on anybody’s anything (aside from their faces). The models were wearing Halloween costumes for an upcoming feature in the magazine. THEY WERE FULLY CLOTHED AT ALL TIMES!!! The magazine staff was friendly, and way less horny than I had imagined them to be!! Actually, the staff members that I met were mostly women– really cool women! Yep, I know, this story isn’t the least bit scandalous! In fact, the only scandalous thing was this costume that I popped into for a few giggles!!
I’ve acquired a bit of a habit! Me, the chick that coughs from cigarette smoke, is fiending to administer a nightly dosage of prescription drugs!!! What turned me into the Tyrone Biggums of the beauty industry? LATISSE!!! In case you haven’t heard of it, Latisse is a prescription drug used to make your eyelashes grow. I just got on the “juice” yesterday, and already I can’t wait to use it again!!
The idea of having lashes as long as Snuffleupagus is pretty freakin’ exciting.
Okay on second glance Snuffy might not be so sexy!!!

MMmmm!!! Do you remember Fruit Stripe gum? All that yummy sweet goodness… I could chew an entire pack of Fruit Stripe in less than fifteen minutes!!
I used to get in so much trouble as a kid for smacking on my Fruit Stripe!!! I’d irritate my dad to the point that he’d say, “stop popping that damn gum and learn how to chew!” Recently, I had the opportunity to do Fruit Stripe inspired eyeshadow on a photo shoot with photographer James Mahon!!

I’ve been doing makeup for quite a while now, and to this day, I’ve never met a bride like Lauren. Lauren was absolutely the most laid back bride I’ve ever met! On her wedding day, there were no last minute jitters and no minor details being fussed over. The bride and groom were in chill mode!!! In fact, before the wedding, the couple played bocce ball and shared a few beers with wedding guests on the beach. Consequently, that’s when my girl got sunburned!!!
After the cream soaked in a bit, I applied Shu Uemura base control in green
(this product cancels out redness and saved my life that particular day!!!!)

Karla Jones, my mother, has had a great year. She’s celebrated her 60th birthday and also married the love of her life — and its only June!! With such a busy schedule, Mamacita hadn’t had time to pamper herself.

Oh how i love shiny, pretty things!! So of course when I tried MAKEUP FOREVER’S FLASH COLOR No. 11, I fell in love with its patent leather quality. Its creamy texture requires a bit of attention, but ultimately the payoff is unadultareted rebellion! My inner bad gal cant wait to pair this shadow with liquid leggings for a night out dancing with the girls. In the meantime, I had the opportunity to test drive the shadow on Claudia. Here’s a behind the scenes video from that photoshoot with photographer GIANLUCA FELLINI, beneath the brooklyn bridge! Check out Jo-Jo the attack dog, but clearly, he’s not the only cutie pie in the video!!! xoxo
