MUGSHOT MONDAY
Hey, Hey, It’s MUGSHOT MONDAY, the day that beauty violators are brought to justice. Today’s case was a challenge. I happened to be working with Nico Malvaldi, a photographer who adores film noir. Nico wanted me to do a french femme fatale look on the model that we were working with. I realized early on that she didn’t have the typical bone structure that I’ve always associated with the look. Ohhhhh I love a challenge.
Here’s the rap sheet:
- I started with a cream foundation to even out all skin discoloration
- I used an intense plum shadow by MAC called beauty marked
to smoke out the eye area - the lip line was extended with MAC magenta lip liner
- hot pink lipstick was then applied on top of the liner
Check out our femme fatale in action!!!!
I’d say this case is officially closed!!!

Dude, that is HOT and also you didn’t credit yourself for the awesome hair (except in the video credits), which was really pretty. Would love to know what you used in her hair for the various styles you gave her. Wet look? slightly frizzy look? curls?
Siiri!!!! I used lots of Redken fabricate for the curl look, it got frizzy because Im not good at taking out velcro rollers lol!!!! The slick look, I used Tigi bedhead manipulator–I had some left over (I use it to tame my curls occasionally). There are a bunch of bobbie pins in her hair to help create a fake bob look!! xoxo, kim
