AAAhhh, the fond memories of being a kid on the playground… Remember how you’d actually ask another child if they’d like to be your friend? Back then, it wasn’t official until you asked. Dating was simple too, a boy would ask you to be his girlfriend (I still like to be asked– otherwise I think we’re just hanging out…hahaha!!) Today, I’m taking it back to the old school–Will you be my friend? DO I HAVE LIPSTICK ON MY TEETH is gearing up for some exciting changes in 2010, but those changes won’t work without friends like you!!! Let’s get to know each other!!! Let’s be friends…
Over the weekend I joined the HELP-PORTRAIT project, it’s a movement among photographers and industry professionals doing portraits of people that aren’t able to afford traditional family portraiture. I volunteered to do makeup for the families at the El Puente center in Brooklyn, New York. We were fortunate to work with sixty families!!! I enjoyed laughing with the kids and giving the moms makeup tips that they’ll be able to add to their daily routines!! Here are some of the photos from the event taken by Monika.

I’ve never considered myself one of the cool kids. I’m the chick that’s accident prone. I’ll fall UP or DOWN the stairs!!! When I put forth an effort to be cool, I fail miserably . I tried to be cool one time in France, I was flirting with a gorgeous guy that I met in a housewares store. As I turned to say goodbye, I tripped over a chair!!! Not cool at all!!! I’d really like to be cool!! I want to be Sean Puffy Combs cool!!! Puffy’s so cool, he wears sunglasses at night!!! Hahaha!! If I wore sunglasses at night I’d definitely french kiss the concrete… Recently, I found it necessary to pop on a pair of sunglasses after the sun had set, check out the video below to see if I’m even coming close to cool….

Sometimes as a freelance makeup artist, I get called to do a job that sounds bananas!! The other day I got one of those calls from Penthouse (the men’s magazine)!!! GAsssssppppp!!!!
You want me to put makeup where???!!!! Hahahaha!!!
All jokes aside, the job that I did for the magazine was PG-13. I didn’t have to put makeup on anybody’s anything (aside from their faces). The models were wearing Halloween costumes for an upcoming feature in the magazine. THEY WERE FULLY CLOTHED AT ALL TIMES!!! The magazine staff was friendly, and way less horny than I had imagined them to be!! Actually, the staff members that I met were mostly women– really cool women! Yep, I know, this story isn’t the least bit scandalous! In fact, the only scandalous thing was this costume that I popped into for a few giggles!!
MMmmm!!! Do you remember Fruit Stripe gum? All that yummy sweet goodness… I could chew an entire pack of Fruit Stripe in less than fifteen minutes!!
I used to get in so much trouble as a kid for smacking on my Fruit Stripe!!! I’d irritate my dad to the point that he’d say, “stop popping that damn gum and learn how to chew!” Recently, I had the opportunity to do Fruit Stripe inspired eyeshadow on a photo shoot with photographer James Mahon!!
Ladies and gents, here’s a little something for you to chew on from the shoot!!!
