Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall, I’m a lizard!!! My skin is Sahara desert dry!! I’m constantly engaged in a battle against ash. Unfortunately ash is a formidable opponent, it has a tendency to overtake an elbow, knee or the heel of a foot at any given moment!! With that in mind, I try my darndest to be armed and ready!! I carry a travel sized bottle of lotion in my purse, and I keep a vat of bag balm on my bedside table. Recently, I ran across a soap that has shea butter as its key ingredient — Hmm, I could start my moisture strategy in the shower!!! Without any hesitation I purchased a bar of Nubian Heritage’s African Black Soap.
The soap smells fantastic. My skin felt pretty good. But holy crap, I couldn’t stand how dirty this soap made my shower!! It didnt occur to me that black soap creates black suds!! Black suds make a white tub look like a grey filthy mess!! Everything that the soap touched had a black skid mark.
Needless to say, the African Black Soap was released from active duty. I don’t have the man power to fight ash and filth!! *SIGHHHHHH* The battle continues….
